AIR JORDAN XIII BLACK CAT

Tinker Hatfield’s Air Jordan 13 design was inspired by the Black Cat, an alter ego that MJ himself embodied early on in his career. Like MJ, the black cat is the ultimate predator as it combines speed and stealth with a killer instinct that no other player in history has displayed.

In fact, the nickname was given to him by other players in the league, which only attests to just how lethal MJ was. This January 2017, Jordan Brand is finally recalling the roots of the AJ13 with a straightforward all-black look, with the lone exception being the jewel on the heel (which represents the eyes of the cat).

NIKE JUNGLE DUNK x UNDERCOVER

The UNDERCOVER Nike Jungle Dunk benefits from a premium tumbled leather base in a head-turning Loyal Blue, additional Dynamic Flywire, a natural motion inspired outsole unit that’s rugged enough to withstand the toughest of winter elements and new weather resistant tape tooling on the toebox.

But perhaps the most head-turning addition to this boot-inspired Nike Dunk is the heel cage belonging to Tinker Hatfield’s 1991 classic, the Nike Air Huarache. The back reads ‘Balance’ in black to match the Swoosh branding while an aggressive jagged pattern matches the clean white midsole and outsole

AIR JORDAN V “TAKE FLIGHT”

The Air Jordan V “Take Flight” is a green and tan version of Michael Jordan’s fifth signature shoe. It releases on February 11th, 2017 and features a mix of leather, nubuck, and visible Air. The shoe is part of Jordan Brand’s “Take Flight” Pack, inspired by military bomber jackets and fighter planes

JORDAN TRUNNER LX BHMJORDAN

Perhaps the biggest news of Jordan Brand’s 2017 Black History Month Collection wasn’t the removable patches on the Air Jordan 1 or the hypnotizing metallic gold patent leather on the grade school exclusive option. Instead, it might’ve been the return of an oft-forgotten early 2000s retro training model in the Jordan Trunner LX.

For those of you who don’t remember, the Jordan Trunner LX ushered in the training regime for the Jumpman in the year 2000. Its construction mirrored the Air Jordan 15’s unique woven construction on the forefoot while a bevy of neoprene panels created a laceless slip-on fit while a dual strap handled the lockdown duties. It’s a bit of an oddity that this retro would return in 2017, but there’s definitely a cult-following associated with the silhouette. If you’re one of the fans that plans on picking the pair up, then rejoice, as more colorways are likely headed to retail shelves after the BHM colorway drops on February 11th.

AIR JORDAN XXX1 “ALL STAR GAME”

While the 2017 NBA All-Star Game will be played in New Orleans moved from Charlotte, this Air Jordan XXX1 looks to be inspired by the Hornets.

Featuring a full honeycomb texture on the Flyweave, that includes an iridescent midsole and icy outsoles. A Hornets logo is seen on the inner tongues, which could’ve been inspired by the original location of the ASG.

AIR JORDAN VI “ALL STAR GAME”

The Air Jordan 6 Retro is back in a big way in 2017, and it’ll all be highlighted by this brand new colorway inspired by the mid-February classic. The Air Jordan 6 “All-Star” features an iridescent leather upper with hexagon Jumpman logos on the heel and insole – perhaps a nod to the Hornets, a franchise that was once located in New Orleans. As you know, the 2017 All-Star Game was originally scheduled to be held in Charlotte before the NBA made the decision to switch locations.

AIR JORDAN XIII OG WHITE RED

Call it what you like: the Air Jordan 13 OG, the Air Jordan 13 White Red, the Air Jordan 13 Cherry. Regardless of nicknames and monikers, the original Air Jordan 13 colorway will be returning just in time for the NBA’s All-Star Weekend.

We’ve seen a number of new colorways land on the Air Jordan 13 in recent years, but there’s nothing like a classic. We first got word that this pair would be returning around Christmas time, when the Jumpman through this pair in as the inspiration behind Jordan Brand’s signature roster’s PE inspirations. While the “Bred” and “Playoff” pairs will also be returning later this year, we’re definitely excited that the Jordan 13 OG will be one of the marquee pairs for February 2017.

AIR JORDAN I RETRO HIGH OG “ALL-STAR GAME”

All-Star Weekend is a feeding frenzy for sneaker brands, with the hoops festivities providing a grand platform for incredible sneaker releases built around All-Star inspired themes. For 2017, Jordan Brand is honing in on iridescent colors on their footwear, and this Air Jordan 1 is already among the most anticipated as it features the classic color-blocking we’ve come to love on the AJ1.
